Hi,
here is another LCD using the drop shadow effect on almost all objects to simulate a more depth screen.

Installation:
extract the zip archive
copy the entire folder "lcd_style_displays" into vdash_template/ directory of your phone/tablet or in c:\Users\your-username\vdash_template\ directory for Windows version or in home/ directory for Linux platform
use menu "Set Template" and choose LCD_STYLE.json

Drop shadow Effect:
This is very simple, to create a drop shadow effect just create a LABEL object filed with '8' letters, set Black color and select "Set Colors and Properties" menu to set the alpha to position 2 or 3 (see the screenshot)

I suggest to install the template and see how this template is built.

Notes:
to keep the telemetry DATA aligned with the LABEL object behind change its string format with leading zeros.
Example:
for %5.0f replace it by %05.0f
for %3.0f replace it by %03.0f

Content of the archive:
lcd_style_displays
 LCD_STYLE.json
 lcd_style_bkgnd.png
 preview_LCD_STYLE.png

lcd_blue_style_bkgnd.png
lcd_gray_style_bkgnd.png

The lcd_style_bkgnd.png green, blue, graybackground images can be freely used in background to start your own LCD Style display for VDASH-EMU. Please be kind to share your custom creation with us! ;)

Cheers,
z

EDIT: no finally it's ok to keep it as simple topic for instance.

Ofcourse I like it. I am now trying to get the data telemetry (rpm and speed) aligned with label. xD

Check the template, for RPM you have 2 objects:

- LABEL with text: 88888
- DATA RPM with string format %05.0f

that's it!

no, absolutely not necessary!

the text of LABEL object and the string formatof DATA  are directly accessible from the Edit-Text on the Editor Bar, just unlock the Edit-Text, type the chars and lock the Edit-Text.
