Wheel Angle Cars Database or DOR DB
« on: September 30, 2014, 10:00:05 AM »
Brief reminder of Wheel Angle Database (or DOR  DB) management:

The wheel Angle database is a cool new feature of v3.4 for Fanatec (CSW or others), Logitech G25/G27, Thrustmaster (T500 rs, etc.) owners, it can set your max degree of rotation of your steering wheel dynamically, this feature needs to have a complete and up to date database with the wheel angle of each car of each simulation. This is why the new SLIMax Mgr contains a new helper/wizard to edit very easily the wheel angle DB.

The format is deliberately a simple INI file to be editable with a simple text editor or preferably by the latest database wizard included in SLIMax Mgr v3.4.6.4 or greater.

Select the menu "Edit cars database" to access the wheel angle DB:

The wizard let you browse the current values and change or add new car wheel angle from 100 to 900

Notes:
to add a value, simply click any existing value and type the new car name and its angle value then click APPLY/ADD button.

To activate the function, simply go to advanced options and set it to TRUE.

For Fanatec CSW Bases:

For the Thrustmaser T500 RS:

For the Logitech G27:

A cool initiative has been started on Assetto Corsa forum to build a "SOFT LOCK" list of all cars available in the simulation, if someone is willing to help, it could be cool to update the wheel_angle.ini file with those settings and post it in the Assetto Corsa forum to help all users using SLIMax Manager Pro with A.C.. ;)

Just a quick tip:
When the wheel angle is applied to a steering wheel (Fanatec, Thrustmaster or Logitech) it is reported in the Debug Console of SLIMax Mgr Pro with the RAW NAME of the car. So this is a good place to check if the D.O.R. is ok and to catch the raw name of the car in use...

(the wheel angle database needs the raw name of the car to identify it and apply the D.O.R.)

To bring the Debug Console to front select menu Scripts > Toggle Debug Console

Sample configuration for Fanatec Base Wheel with Abarth 500 on Asstto Corsa

the S_1 = SEN of the Fanatec base is set to AUTO

the wheel angle database is activated in SLIMax Mgr Pro setup and set to 830 for the AC 64Bit Abarth 500 car
